Economic evaluation of wood buildings
Gregorová, Lucie ; Aigel, Petr (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is comparing timber frame construction and masonry building in the first and second part of building life cycle. The selected factors of these parts are costs and time-consuming of structure, comparing the masses of structures, their thermal insulation properties and their fire resistance. In the end, there is a comparison of costs of construction and construction lead-time for timber structure and masonry building.
Economic evaluation of wood buildings
Gáliková, Eva ; Aigel, Petr (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with comparison of a timber frame construction and a masonry building in the third and fourth part of building life cycle. Constructions are compared in thermal properties, acoustic properties, fire resistence, lifetime and it’s effect on the environment. Also, the thesis deals with demands on new constructions and it’s demolition involving it’s costs, time demands and it’s masses.
Evaluation of Construction Project from aspect of Whole Life Costs
Foitlová, Lucie ; Holá, Michaela (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
The theoretical part deals at the beginning with evaluation of effectiveness of the project, as well as with the information about individual stages of the life cycle of the building, wear and tear of the buildings, lifetime of the elements and whole life costs of the building that are of particular interest to the investor. In conclusion, there are mentioned wastes and emissions. The thesis is completed by a case study of the family house where the whole life costs of the building life cycle are solved.
Functional parts valuation of the building
Ševčík, Jaroslav ; Nový, Martin (referee) ; Marková, Leonora (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with comparing of current awards by Classification of building structures and works and awards by Functional parts. It is possible to calculate Building life cycle costs by Functional parts. This is definately the advantage of the system because the calculation cannot be done by Classification of building structures and works. A new law on public procurement deals with Building life cycle costs as an evaluation criterion. So it is recommended to use Functional parts awards. The other goal of the thesis is to find bridges between Functional parts and the issue of BIM. BIM is a trend of global construction industry.
The cost estimating of the construction works assembled in variant structures
Pecen, Martin ; Hanák, Michal (referee) ; Tichá, Alena (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses mainly on designing projects using BIM technology, specifically on the field of budgeting. In the theoretical part the current 2D project documentation and the current price system is described. Furthermore, the thesis deals with information modeling and its implementation into common building practice. At the end, it is described how to use current pricing system for budgeting in the BIM environment.
The offer price of construction works
Kovandová, Lucie ; Oslíková, Eva (referee) ; Kocourková, Gabriela (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of the construction work offer price. The theoretical part describes building life cycle, building prices, budgeting and types of contracts. The practical part is focused on conditions and process of specific public order awarded by the Zlín Region. There are elaborated alternative solutions for selected sections of itemized budget in order to reduce the offer price of the company which didn´t win the competition because of too high price. Budget of the losing company is available for the practical part.
Construction Project Organization
Špačková, Sára ; Lupač, David (referee) ; Waldhans, Miloš (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the „Construction Project Organization“. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on explaining the concepts of project management. It also describes the building life cycle, project participants, project planning techniques, and financial planning. The practical part is focused on the organization of the construction project - the schedule of time planning and the financing of the public procurement. This issue is dealt with on a concrete project where the investor is the city of Brno. It is a building of a parking lot.
BIM and building cost estimation
Pavka, Filip ; Výskala, Miloslav (referee) ; Biolek, Vojtěch (advisor)
The main topic of the bachelor thesis is analyses of possible approaches to the cost estimation of construction and buildings parts in software that supports building information modelling, particularly software Revit. In the introductory, it describes a general definition of BIM and the whole problematics in general. Therefore, in the particular parts, the thesis is focused on the advantages and disadvantages of BIM together with the level of implementation in the Czech Republic as well as in foreign countries. Furthermore, it relates to construction stakeholders and their relationship with BIM. Through next chapters, there are introduced current methods of cost estimation and quantity takeoff. The practical section deals with the methods of modelling construction parts and their accuracy. Plus that, there is a description of how to get values for window sill and jamb to the quantity takeoff, even though it is not an implemented function in software. As the main result of this work is to find more effective ways and simplify the process of budgeting.
Optimization of recycled concrete materials from precast concrete elements and their characteristics for building information model
Venkrbec, Václav ; Mésároš,, Peter (referee) ; Šuhajda, Karel (referee) ; Henková, Svatava (advisor)
The dissertation thesis deals with the use of recycled concrete aggregates obtained from deconstructed parts of a precast panels’ apartment building. Furthermore, the work presents an optimization supplier-logistics algorithm to achieve a wider application of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) in structural concrete in a new building. As part of the newly developed optimization algorithm of ready-mixed concrete suppliers, non-graphical data from the building information model (BIM) were intensively used. The work also addresses the transfer of data from and back to the information model and the definition of characteristics needed to optimize the entire process. At the theoretical level, the work deals with a comprehensive literature review of the above-mentioned fields. The experimental part of the work is focused on materials research carried out in order to verify the suitability of a particular type of RAC for structural use. The work introduces the procedures and test results of two types of recycled aggregates and then presents a range of recycled concrete recipes with partial replacement of aggregates for RCAs, obtained from prefabricated panels of high-rise buildings. The gained test results show the technical suitability of the tested RCA sources for producing medium-strength structural RAC. A significant part of the analytically oriented experimental part of the work is the logistic optimization scenario with its own matrix-based discrete algorithm and economic graphical evaluation. The case study examines the relevance of the proposed algorithm on a real scenario, namely the construction of the scientific technology institute CEITEC in Brno. Furthermore, the work summarizes the issue of BIM and presents a methodology for handling non-graphical information of the building model to define the characteristics of recycled concrete in buildings. The conclusions are addressed both for practice and for the development of scientific disciplines. The work provides
Cost revitalization of a residential building
Pecen, Martin ; Bartoš, Miroslav (referee) ; Nový, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the reconstruction costs of the residential houses. The theoretical part describes the management of the construction project, building life cycle and the costs of the each individual stages of the cycle. Furthermore these buildings are described on the basis of the functional parts. In the practical part the thesis focuses on the determination of the realization costs of two residential houses, the durability of individual functional parts and the possibilities of their reconstruction. At the end the budget and schedule are created and the reconstruction is analysed from an economic point of view.
